With a starcast like that, imagine how much of a role would each one will get!Anyway Amitabh Bachchan plays the head of a gurukul and Shah Rukh is a teacher.

Aishwarya Rai who is Amitabh's daughter is dead and appears only in flashback sequences, we are made to believe. Jugal, Uday, Shamita, Preeti, Kim and one more lad are six teenagers in love with each other. Bachchan is opposed to these budding romances while Shah Rukh approves. The clash between the Big B and King Khan is the highlight of Mohabbatein. Aditya Chopra who came up with Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge has a lot to prove and show that DDLJ was not a fluke.

Aditya's debut film was a long time ago. But Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is still fresh in our memory. And now Aditya Chopra is all set for a Diwali dhamaka with a movie with a self-explanatory title and a formidable cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and six newcomers - one of them also happens to be Adi’s younger brother, Uday. Those who’ve heard snatches of the music by Jatin-Lalit are ecstatic.

There's a storm in the Chopra camp. Actress Shefali Chhaya, who plays an important character in Aditya Chopra's forthcoming Mohabbatein, has actually revealed the script of the forthcoming blockbuster in an interview. The Chopras, who are normally very strict about maintaing silence over their story, normally brief their stars not to divulge even the tiniest detail about the script or charcters to the Press before the film's release. And top stars, from Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor to Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have always complied with the request, for the film's good.
|
The biggest problem that the Chopras will now face is to complete their film before some smalltime producer gets 'inspired' by the story and makes a quickie before their otherwise original magnum opus is released during Diwali.

Shefali probably committed the faux pas in a state of excitement, but the damage has been done. All and sundry now know that Mohabbatein has a campus backdrop, with Amitabh Bachchan playing a strict principal who will not tolerate any nonsense (read flirting, dating or romance) within the campus. Shah Rukh Khan plays a young lecturer in the college, who's immensely popular among the students, and who's in love with Bachchan's daughter in the film, Aishwarya Rai. Till a widow (Shefali) enters Bachchan's life, helps him forget his past agonies and in the process, love blossoms between the two. This, along with the endevours of his own daughter and her lover will finally melt the heart of the elderly principal. Running concurrent to this basic theme is also the story of three young couples in the college, whom Khan and Rai help in realizing their love. Aditya Chopra is wrapping up Mohabbat in at a break neck speed. The film which has got an impressive line up of stars has Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Jimmy Shergill, Jugal Hansraj, Uday Chopra, Shamita Shetty Kim Sharma & Priti Jhingani in lead roles.

And for the Ist time on any site comes the story of Mohabbatein. The film is set in a hostel in London. Amitabh Bachchan is but Naturally the principal and Shahrukh Khan the teacher.Enter three Young Students played by Uday Chopra , Jugal Hansraj and jimmy Shergill. The conflict of values amongst the three generations makes an interesting movie.
